Free-spirited lover of music, travel, independence, adventures, bargain hunting and languages with a forever erratic body clock.
I started exploring the art of poetry when I spent three weeks off the radar in Cuba. Detached from society. Disconnected from technology. Just my thoughts and I.
I continued to write on my journey around South America, each poem accompanied by a photo. I came to realise how cathartic poetry is to express emotions. Also how powerful it is as a form of capturing memories. Photos capture a memory visually; poetry captures emotions and the way you are thinking at the time.
I am living in Berlin at the moment, still writing and have decided it is time to share the thoughts in my head.
Real life photos used as inspiration for those two emotive poems comparing the history with modern day Cuba.
3 hours for the ATM? oye… amazing photos!
It was actually the bank – no ATMs in Viñales!
Your photographs are beautiful – and so is Cuba!
