Free-spirited lover of music, travel, independence, adventures, bargain hunting and languages with a forever erratic body clock.
I started exploring the art of poetry when I spent three weeks off the radar in Cuba. Detached from society. Disconnected from technology. Just my thoughts and I.
I continued to write on my journey around South America, each poem accompanied by a photo. I came to realise how cathartic poetry is to express emotions. Also how powerful it is as a form of capturing memories. Photos capture a memory visually; poetry captures emotions and the way you are thinking at the time.
I am living in Berlin at the moment, still writing and have decided it is time to share the thoughts in my head.
I love these geese. They remind me of a play I saw years ago called The Story of Teeka. Teeka was a puppet goose. I can’t find the reference. It was before the internet.
I can’t believe it – I’ve looked again and found the story of Teeka which I saw on stage twenty years’ ago. These beautiful geese reminded me.
