I started exploring the art of poetry when I spent three weeks off the radar in Cuba. Detached from society. Disconnected from technology. Just my thoughts and I.
I continued to write on my journey around South America, each poem accompanied by a photo. I came to realise how cathartic poetry is to express emotions. Also how powerful it is as a form of capturing memories. Photos capture a memory visually; poetry captures emotions and the way you are thinking at the time.
I am living in Berlin at the moment, still writing and have decided it is time to share the thoughts in my head.
Love them all…escape from Berlin! Dad would be right at home. Can’t wait to show him! Especially like the two you’re in(well I think it’s you). And love that building you’re standing in too.
Yes the guy taking a siesta with the cane made it easy to picture Dad doing just that.
And that’s my friend Leah in the last photos. The structure is the crystal palace in Retiro park. Spectacular with the lines and angels.
I love seeing images of places I’ve been 🙂
